Former UFC fighter Mason Jones has returned to the promotion after four successive victories in the Cage Warriors organisation.

Despite a win over David Onama in his first UFC stint, he also lost to Mike Davis and L’udovit Klein via unanimous decision, causing him to be cut by Dana White.

Since his return to Cage Warriors, the Welsh-born fighter has been on an impressive winning streak, defeating Alexandre Ribeiro, Yann Liasse, Bryce Logan, and Michael Pagani.

Cage Warriors has often been used as a pathway for fighters to enter the UFC, with stars such as Conor McGregor, Tom Aspinall, and Paddy Pimblett all fighting under the organisation.

And Jones will be looking to follow in their footsteps in his second visit to the UFC.

Without any finishes in the UFC, Jones wasn’t particularly impressing the hierarchy, but he has certainly changed his style in the Cage Warriors with three of his last four victories coming via TKO.

The most impressive performance from this selection was his win over Alexander Ribeiro, where he dealt the Brazilian only his second professional loss. He finished the fight in round one with some vicious ground and pound.

There has yet to be a date set for Jones’ UFC return, but he will be eager to right some wrongs on the biggest MMA promotion in the world.
