The UFC flyweight division was turned on its head as Manel Kape defeated the undefeated Asu Almabayev via a round three TKO at the APEX Centre.
This victory puts Kape back in contention for the flyweight title, with the Brazilian Alexandre Pantoja currently holding the belt.

Kape controlled the opening two rounds and finished the fight in the third round with a flurry of body shots and knees.
Also on the Fight Night card, Cody Brundage defeated Julian Marquez via a vicious knockout to secure his first win in over a year, and Englishman Sam Patterson shocked Danny Barlow with a TKO victory.
The fight of the night, however, yet again went to Esteban Ribovics, as he was defeated in a brutal three-round bout by Nasrat Haqparast. Ribovics also received the Fight of the Night accolade on the historic UFC Noche card when he capped a beautiful boxing display with a decision victory over Daniel Zellhuber.
This card leaves more matchmaking dilemmas for Dana White and the UFC with Kape calling for a title shot. However, Kai Kara-France is also looking for a title match after his big victory over Steve Erceg, which could set up a title eliminator between the pair.
As for the heavyweight division, the exciting Mario Pinto extended his unbeaten professional record with a devastating knockout win over the experienced Austen Lane. He is now eyeing a fight against a top 15 opponent in order to climb the heavyweight rankings.
